5 Day Hybrid Wilderness First Responder (WFR) | April 27 - May 1, 2026

Join Katie Woods, lead instructor for 🔗Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA) and owner of First Aid Outdoors, for plenty of group discussion, hands-on time, and real-life case scenarios to practice critical thinking and learn crucial medical skills.

Note: For students to have ample time to complete the required pre-course work, registration will close on March 30th. Students may be admitted after March 30th on a case-by-case basis.

WHO:
This course is open to anyone 18 years or older. No previous medical training/knowledge required, although a minimum of 30 hours of online, self-paced course work must be completed prior to the in-person session.
 
 
WHAT:
A 5-Day Hybrid Wilderness First Responder (WFR) course taught by Wilderness Medical Associates (WMA) lead instructor, Katie Woods. Please note that this course requires a minimum of 30 online, self-paced hours of pre-course work to be completed prior to the first day of class.
 
Certification is valid for 3 years. EMR/EMTs/AEMTs/Paramedics can receive up to 70 hours of CEU credit with CAPCE.
 
HOW MUCH:
The total for the Hybrid WFR is $795 per person.

Monday, April 27  to Friday, May 1, 8am - 6pm each day.
 
 
WHERE:
Class will be held at 🔗Holiday River Expeditions headquarters in Green River, UT.
 
 
 
Other Important Details:
Lunch: Lunch is not included, but there will be a 30-60 minute break each day, depending on the needs of the group.
 
Lodging: Tent or vehicle camping is available at Holiday River Expeditions headquarters for no charge.
